Good to know
Questions
And if the answer isn't here, just ask us.
- What should I wear?
- Thursday is garden casual. Friday is black tie optional — long dresses, linen suits, colour encouraged. Saturday lunch is whatever you can manage. Ceremony and dinner are on grass, so avoid stiletto heels.
- Can I bring my children?
- Yes. Children are welcome on Thursday and Saturday, and at the Friday ceremony and dinner. We will have a supervised playroom and two sitters from 20:00 on Friday — let us know ages when you reply.
- Can I bring a plus one?
- Your invitation names everyone we have space for. If you are unsure, ask us — we would rather you asked than guessed.
- What will the weather be like?
- Early July in the Savoie is usually 25—30°C in the day and cool after sunset. Bring something warm for the evening and swimwear for the lake.
- I have dietary requirements.
- Tell us when you reply. The kitchen handles vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and allergies without any fuss.
- Is the venue accessible?
- The courtyard, garden and ground-floor rooms are step-free, and there is an accessible WC. The barn has a shallow ramp. Some château bedrooms are up stone stairs — tell us if you need a ground-floor room.
- Do I need a car?
- Not if you are staying at the château or taking our shuttles, but a car makes the surrounding valley much easier. Taxis in the area must be booked ahead.
- Are gifts expected?
- Your presence in France is the gift. We are not expecting anything else.
- Photos and phones?
- We are asking for an unplugged ceremony — phones away, please. After that, photograph everything and share it to the album we will circulate the following week.
- When should I book travel?
- As soon as you can. July is high season and flights into Lyon and Geneva rise sharply after March.
- Who do I contact?
- Email taramarcuswedding@gmail.com for anything at all. On the weekend itself, our coordinator Camille is on +33 6 00 00 00 00.
